Katherine has covered a vast array of environmental issues for NPR’s Pacific Swell, Grist, Dwell, AlterNet, Ecouterre, MNN, Snakkle, and more. Interviewing subjects such as Vice President Al Gore, her work has been featured on CNN, Forbes, and The Huffington Post. She has participated in Moth Story Jams and recenty shared her tale about how falling is love is like falling off a roof. As a Senior Editor for EcoSalon, Katherine and her ridiculously-sensitive skin reviewed hundreds of natural beauty products for her weekly column. She also specializes in humor and satire. This is most true when her subject involves pastries or politics, both half-baked. Katherine holds a Masters of Arts in English from the University of Vermont and a Bachelor of Arts in Honors English from Lafayette College. She spent years among the chaparral of Los Angeles, now living among the elms of Boston with her young family and old houseplants.
